Cora’s TBR Challenge Check-In

Happy June, fellow readers! Is your TBR pile growing or shrinking?

Mine is growing, despite this challenge. According to my Goodreads shelves, I’ve read 8 books (not counting those I judged for the RITAs) but I’ve purchased 24. And only one of those 8 was completed in May. *sigh* I’m in the middle of writing two books, and I suspect that’s where my reading time has gone. That makes me feel like I’m back in the classroom again, lol–I’ll have time to read as much as I want just as soon as summer (or, in this case, the end of the books I’m writing) comes! 🙂

  1. I am not making much headway with regard to reducing my TBR list because I read four books in May but I also acquired 4 additional books. I am also behind with my reviewing (mainly because of moving). I have 3 outstanding reviews to write and I’m reluctant to start reading a new book until I have completed those.

    1. Moving is hard, and it takes a lot of energy…as does writing reviews! I’m sure you’ll get caught up soon. And I know the authors you review for really appreciate it 🙂

  2. I am at 70 books, and not reading as fast as I want. Also, still doing a lot of rereads. I have bought more books, but haven’t really tracked the number. I am going to another event at Strand Books in NY on the 19th – Julia London, Sarah MacLean and Marie Force will be there, speaking and signing books, so I hope to read a few of each of their books before then. Then, I have to start reading more historicals prior to HRR, where I will meet Carol in person!
