Cora’s TBR Challenge Check In

It’s the end of our first month, fellow readers–did you start the challenge strong?

I’m struggling already. The big bad migraine monster is chasing me again, so I’m losing some valuable reading time there (more than I’d care to admit, actually).  The day job has been unusually busy these past few weeks, too, so I haven’t been reading at my desk as I thought I might.

I am going to get back to audio books at work, though, which went well before. I can play the book right from my computer while I go about my daily tasks, and pause it when I need to talk to someone. I only need to make sure I actually get my work done, and don’t sink too far into the book 🙂

  1. My intention was to read one of the books I acquired before 1st January 2013 each month. However, with only a few days left in the month, a book to finish reading, two reviews to write and my blogging commitments, I don’t think I’m going to manage to do it this month.

  2. I have read 10 books, according to GR. I am in the middle of one, which I will finish. I also have an ARC of an anthology, so not sure how they count that book-wise. I read 1 1/2 out of 6 I think. I read 2 older Lisa Kleypas books that I have owned since Borders went out. Plus, I read Fangirl, which I have taken out of the library 3 times & kept for 6 mos each time. So, I consider this month a win! I started my new job today. Much less stressful than the old one. I have an hr for lunch, so may get some reading done during lunches. Also, I am getting home at 5:30 instead of 7:30. I am working more hours than previously, but in some semblance of a normal schedule. Hope you feel better, Cora! And Carol, you do so much with the blog! Thanks for keeping us going!
